I now have 3 smart locks installed of 3 different doors, all wit a different fit. One lock had a minor issue with fingerprints not working after a storm drenched the lock for 3 days straight. (we are in Scotland) Support had a new unit to us within 24 hours. Keep up the good work guys! Good to see a UK company flushing out that china rubbish

After doing some study on the subject of electric locks, I ultimately chose Simpled, and (as of this writing) have absolutely no regrets. When you consider the pricing, the build quality is excellent. It has one of the best installation manuals. Anybody who is good with tools, reads the instructions carefully, and follows them shouldn't have any trouble, in my opinion. It took me 2 hours and 20 minutes to complete the process of replacing my mortise lock, installing the electric lock, setting up the app, and gateway. (taking into account the fact that I had to modify the door and frame so the mortise lock would fit).
Just to clarify, you have to lock it physically by hand, but to unlock you can use key, smart card, eKey, fingerprint, App and smart home platforms like Alexa or Google (if you have gateway).
Finally I have to say I love the fact I don't carry door keys anymore.
By the way I had a question and contacted customer service by WhatsApp and response was brilliant.

I already installed a Model X lock in January (I left a review) and have been so pleased with it that I thought I would try the Model S as it was discounted. I found the installation a little easier with the Model S because there was no step to set the direction of the handle. Both installations were as easy as installing any typical door handle.
Since owning a Sifely I have come to really like the lock. Programming the locks is very simple using the app. I am also using a single gateway to get both my locks on line for remote access. The gateway has to be in bluetooth range of the locks, or you may need another gateway for the second lock. I use passage mode to keep the doors unlock while I am home during the day until a set time at night and the doors lock automatically when we go to bed. I like how the phone app also works with my watch. I get a message whenever the doors are unlocked and it tells me which key opened the lock. When I leave the house I can lock the door using my phone. It is possible with the gateway to unlock the door using my phone remotely or with my watch. Because my locks are online there is also a web portal offered free by Sifely on their web site that I think is pretty cool. You can manage all your locks from this one location. I can see this being very useful for business having multiple locks with multiple locations. I was able to transfer all my codes and keys (not fingerprints) from the Model S lock to the Model X on the app in one step.
The biggest drawback I can find is that it uses 4 AA batteries. The app tells you how much energy is left in the batteries so I am not concerned it will die on me unexpectedly. They are supposed to last at least a year. I guess I will find out. I recommend the locks. So far it has been very reliable.

1. I was offered a rebate after my first purchase for an honest review, good or bad. I was not solicited for a 5 star review.
2. To activate the touch screen, don't tap on the display, just put your finger on it and hold it there and it will turn on reliably.
